 I'm 35 and I live with my partner and 3 children. My eldest is daughter is 18, my son 16 and my youngest daughter is 13. I use to work all the time and usually done 16-18 hour shifts so I never cooked. I now don't have to work and I really want to get in to cooking for my family.

Cajun Cake

This is one of my favorite cakes. The name of it I have is "Top me twice cake" so I gather it has more than one title. Whatever, it is a great cake and like the fact that it does not have a topping made from icing sugar.

This called for way too much butter. I did it twice exactly how it said to do it and each time it separated and was oily on top and then burned it trying to fix it. I tried another recipe with less butter and it was perfect.
