About me:
I started cooking at age 12. Mom worked 12-16 hours a day and I got tierd of hotdogs and eggs. So I opened up a cook book by a Lady called Betty and my world began. That was in 1961. Today I own Uncle Wes' Kitchen where I offer home made comfort food to go or sit and enjoy. Every item is made on site. No pre cooked and frozen wholesale foods for me. I want you or your family to have the taste that it was cooked in your kitchen or what your mama used to cook for you as you grew up.

Beef Pot Pie III

Reviewed on Sep. 25, 2008 by amy beth
This is most definitely a 4 and a half star recipe. I made a few changes, only for personal preference. I'm sure it's fantastic as written. I used a little flour on the beef, I added garlic and Worcestershire sauce, and I added a little more liquid. I thought it was so good I could have made myself sick eating too much!

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed on Sep. 25, 2008 by amy beth
Very good and easy to make with ingredients I always have on hand. I think the recipe could use a little more peanut butter; the pb taste wasn't as strong as I thought it would be. I added mini kisses. I won't do that again. I think the addition of chocolate is a great idea (not needed, however) but I would use semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate icing. I will definitely make this again.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed on Sep. 7, 2008 by amy beth
This was definately not holiday quality! I followed the directions exactly and I just wasn't impressed. It was very easy and it should get 10 stars for that but the flavor wasn't anything to write home about. I would use this for an easy meal for my family, I just wouldn't serve it for a holiday dinner.
